Pastel (28x39cm)

In February I shivered and sketched in windy weather  at Strumble Head Lighthouse. It is perched on a tiny island just off the coast in the area known as the Pencaer Peninsular. I took some shelter in an old coastguard lookout to watch seabirds and to sketch the lighthouse.  I didn’t see many birds that day but a white, wild pony did come over to say ‘hello’. My pastel painting is based on my sketch and memories of the day.
